I avoided getting involved with the PTA for as long as I could. I was (and am) a stressed-out mum of three little ones and the last thing I thought I needed was more responsibility. But somehow I started to yearn for that feeling of connection, to have some extra purpose, and to feel I was making a difference by using my skills where they were needed.
It was a natural transition where at first I just helped a little here and there and then realised how much I actually enjoyed it. I’ve designed posters, help run preloved uniform sales, Courthill’s legendary Cakey Fridays, and larger events like school fairs. I love seeing glimpses of the school from the inside and being more of a part of my children’s school life.
Another huge plus… I’ve made some fabulous friends ❤️
